A quick word

About this project

Some final thoughts.

This project is purely conceptual.

I have NO affiliation with EA, DICE, Battlefield, Games Workshop, Warhammer 40,000, or any other related entity. Please understand this is purely conceptual. I have to emphasize this because the last time I made a project like this some people thought it was real. I was even emailed by EA's legal team asking to remove specific things so people weren't misled.

While I think it would be really cool if somebody developed a Warhammer 40,000 + Battlefield mashup style game, none of this is confirmed or leaked or anything like that. This is 100% concept design.

It's an idea that has been floating around inside my head for a few years now. So I figured why not put something together like I did with a previous project of mine and utilize the time to learn a new platform. Last time I used GitHub pages to learn how to animate scroll depth along an SVG path. This time I wanted to learn how to use Webflow.

It's not perfect.

It doesn't look great on mobile.

It's very image heavy and can take a while to load.

I could have done a lot of things better. But it was a learning experience.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why didn't you include X faction or Y unit or Z vehicle?
Down arrow icon
I wanted to include more factions, weapons, units, vehicles, you name it. I wanted to expand the scope of this concept quite a lot. But realistically it's very time consuming to source (or create) all of the imagery, write the copy, and brainstorm the ideas here.

I already have 2 other factions planned out in Figma. I just didn't have enough time or enough pages in Webflow to create them without paying for a Webflow paid plan.
How are factions balanced given their massive differences in lore and power?
Down arrow icon
Balance is built from the ground up with gameplay in mind, not lore power levels. Each faction is adapted to preserve their thematic identity while maintaining competitive parity in terms of weapons, health, movement, and abilities.

Again, this is purely conceptual. So some things won't sound balanced on paper. But I think there is a way to balance out the factions from a gameplay perspective.
Will every faction have access to the same class roles?
Down arrow icon
Yes, but the expression of each role varies by faction.

For example, a Support class in the Space Marines may be an Apothecary, while Necrons are Technomancers. Functionality is preserved, but delivered through faction-specific tools and roles.
Why are some Battlefield mechanics changed or reworked?
Down arrow icon
To align with Warhammer 40,000’s universe.

Some roles and equipment have been adjusted to match each faction’s lore while keeping Battlefield’s core squad and objective gameplay intact.

Some have changed more than others, but again... conceptual.
How does the game handle resurrection and revives? Won’t some factions have an advantage?
Down arrow icon
Revive systems are tailored but balanced.

For example, Necron players may reanimate through tactics and protocols, while Space Marines use the Apothecary’s tools.

Cooldowns, range, and utility are finely tuned across all factions to ensure balance.
Are the weapons and abilities true to the Warhammer 40,000 universe?
Down arrow icon
Mostly, but not entirely.

Most equipment, weapons, and abilities are grounded in the lore. Wherever possible, names, visuals, and effects reflect canon Warhammer 40k gear. I've only adjusted things when needed to serve gameplay clarity and balance or to pad out certain areas.

Necrons throwables are a good example. They technically don't have any "grenades" or throwables. But the Necron Scarab Swarms are effectively suicide drones, so they can be posed as a "throwable" that detonates when reaching its target. The other two Necron throwables are entirely made up. Just to pad out that area.
Why are some Battlefield staples, like standard defibrillators or parachutes, missing or changed?
Down arrow icon
These were adapted to fit the 40k setting.

For example, Necrons reanimate and T’au deploy drones. Where possible, classic mechanics remain but are reskinned or reframed for thematic consistency.
Will the game feature classic Battlefield features like Conquest and Rush?
Down arrow icon
Yes, core Battlefield modes return.

Reimagined for the scale and atmosphere of 40k warfare. Large-scale Conquest, squad-based objective play, and faction-themed twists on traditional modes are all part of the concept.
Is this game canon to Warhammer 40,000?
Down arrow icon
No.
This is a “what-if” crossover exploring how the scale and tone of Battlefield might blend with the Warhammer 40k universe. It's a love letter to both franchises, designed to feel authentic while remaining its own distinct experience.
